1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using GlowStride ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App. These terms apply to all users of GlowStride worldwide.

2. About GlowStride

GlowStride is a gamified fitness tracking app for iOS developed by MECreative. The App allows you to track walks, runs, and cycling sessions, collect virtual "Glows" near your real-world location, complete daily quests, and monitor your fitness progress over time.

GlowStride is provided completely free of charge with no in-app purchases.

3. License to Use

MECreative grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use GlowStride for your personal, non-commercial purposes on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its content
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code
  • Use the App for any unlawful or commercial purpose
  • Use automated means to collect Glows or manipulate quest progress

4. Health & Safety Disclaimer

GlowStride is an outdoor activity app. By using it during physical activities, you acknowledge and accept the following:

  • Always remain fully aware of your surroundings, traffic, and any physical hazards while using the App
  • Do not use the App in a way that distracts you from road safety
  • Do not trespass, enter restricted areas, or endanger yourself or others to collect Glows
  • The App is not a medical device and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice
  • Consult a healthcare professional before beginning any new exercise program

MECreative is not liable for any injuries, accidents, damages, or losses that occur during your use of the App.

5. Location & Health Data

GlowStride requests access to your device's location and, optionally, Apple HealthKit data to provide its core functionality. By granting these permissions, you acknowledge that:

  • Location is used only during active sessions and to place Glows near you
  • Health data (steps, distance, calories) is read to power your stats and quest tracking
  • You can revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings

6. Glow Locations & Real-World Safety

Glows are placed randomly on the map near your location each time you start a new activity. Their positions are generated automatically and are not curated or verified by MECreative. MECreative has no control over where Glows appear on the map.

By using GlowStride, you acknowledge and accept that:

  • You are solely responsible for determining whether a Glow's location is safe and lawful to access
  • MECreative is not responsible for any Glows that appear near restricted zones, private property, busy roads, or hazardous areas
  • You must never trespass, cross dangerous traffic, or enter restricted, private, or unsafe areas to collect a Glow
  • If a Glow appears in an inaccessible or unsafe location, skip it — new Glows will appear in your next session

MECreative is not liable for any fines, injuries, damages, or legal consequences resulting from your decision to access a Glow's real-world location.

7. User Conduct

You agree to use GlowStride only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You must not attempt to:

  • Cheat, hack, or manipulate the App's quest, Glow, or badge systems
  • Use GPS spoofing or other means to fake activity data
  • Interfere with the normal operation of the App
  • Use the App in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law

8. Intellectual Property

All content within GlowStride, including its design, graphics, code, and branding, is the property of MECreative and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted no ownership rights over any App content.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

GlowStride is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. MECreative does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of the App is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MECreative shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, even if MECreative has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Modifications

MECreative reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will update the "Last updated" date when changes are made. Significant changes will be communicated through the App or the App Store update notes. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
